Tales from Earthsea
A novel that I can honestly say made me who I am. This was the first novel I ever read as a child. The language was difficult for a grade-schooler, the book was thick, and it was a pain to carry around to school lol But this book was my gateway into easily getting drawn into magical worlds. Maybe my perspective would change if I read it again now. I was thinking about rereading it. I think there might have been a less thick version for kids too? It was adapted into an animated film by Ghibli, but I personally find the story of Ged's youth interesting too~ However, the movie doesn't deviate from the novel regarding the existence of dragons, and it feels like Arren retraces Ged's youth, so while the movie is enjoyable, it might still be a bit difficult lol

The Rainbow Fish
It's a children's picture book, but it's a story that greatly influenced me when I was a child. I thought I wouldn't find the book I saw back then anymore, but since it's been re-released recently, it might be available somewhere 👀 With the underwater world drawn across the pages and the sparkling scales of the rainbow fish, you're sure to be captivated! w It was a picture book that I think fosters a child's heart for sharing.

Song of Everlasting Sorrow
It's not a 'book,' but... I learned Bai Juyi's 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow' in high school Chinese literature class. I didn't quite understand it back then, but recently I watched a video about it on YouTube and felt like I truly grasped its essence.

Fairy Tale Story
Hello everyone, I'm joining today. I look forward to interacting with you all. Apologies for summarizing via AI. • This is a story about "Fitts," a light fairy from the eternal world, observing for nine days "Pechika," a girl with a wounded heart and a harsh personality, whom Fitts first encounters in the terrestrial world (a fictional world called "Klosha"). • It depicts Fitts' journey to determine whether humans are a race that should be destroyed or saved. • The story delicately portrays Pechika's gradual emotional transformation as she interacts with people during her journey. It's a thick book split into two volumes, and while there are some difficult descriptions, if you read it carefully, you'll feel a glimmer of hope at the end. It is published by Gentosha. If you have the chance, I would be grateful if you could pick it up, even if just to look at the illustrations.

The Little Prince
I think it's super famous, but I also recommend 'The Little Prince' which I read because of a certain game! You might discover something about life through the interactions between the protagonist and the prince☆ This book isn't thick either, and it doesn't use many difficult words, so I think it's an easy-to-read novel~

A Must-See for Cat Lovers!
Hello everyone. I'm joining for the first time. My recommendation is a book called "Learn with Cats! Adlerian Psychology". Based on Adlerian psychology, it offers tips to make life easier. There are also cat trivia sections in between! The illustrations and photos are all of cats too. All of them are cute and healing, and at the same time, you can get hints to live a better life!

If it's a novel you want to introduce
Hello, I'm joining*_ _) Speaking of novels I'd like to introduce, my favorite book is "When the Witch of the West Died." I only know it as a physical book, but contrary to the title, it's not a dark story. I think it's a novel with a lot of beautiful nature descriptions, featuring a difficult girl as the protagonist. Through this novel, I realized that scenery can look different depending on one's emotions. It's not a series with many sequels, and it's not a thick paperback, so I thought it might be an easy book to pick up, and that's why I'm introducing it!

The Tatami Galaxy
──What defines us is not the possibilities we have, but the impossibilities we possess── 'The Tatami Galaxy' by Tomihiko Morimi. This is a coming-of-age story depicting four parallel worlds, based on the premise of "What if I had chosen a different club back then?". (AI Summary) Despite tackling a weighty theme like parallel worlds, the content isn't difficult, and yet it possesses a humor in the protagonist's word choices that will make you laugh. It's 400 pages long, but because it's interesting, you might find yourself reading it surprisingly smoothly. It might be recommended for people who haven't read many novels, or for children's morning reading. If you want to grasp the content casually, it has also been adapted into an anime, so watching that is also a good option. This was the book that first taught me what a fun reading experience is.
