This isn't a sword and magic fantasy; it's set in the space setting of an SF game the protagonist was deeply invested in. You can enjoy the SF worldview through the beautiful animation, such as the spaceship's movements and dynamic dogfights with laser weapons. Despite being set in space, the protagonist's ultimate goal is to 'earn money and buy a house with a yard on a planet.' The gap between the intense battle scenes and the relaxed atmosphere of enjoying delicious food (carbonated drinks) and casual cohabitation creates a unique sense of comfort.

What's your preferred method, everyone? Magazines? Tankobon (collected volumes)? Online? If you want to read a lot of manga, I recommend Piccoma. It's great for those who want to explore a wide range of genres without spending any money. The system lets you read manga for free up to about two volumes before the latest one. However, each chapter is split into 3-4 parts, so it might not be ideal if you prefer binge-reading. Usually, you get one part every 24 hours, but some series offer a part every 2 hours, and others let you read up to 30 parts a week. Give it a try if you like reading manga in your spare time!

"Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO" has been confirmed for broadcast on January 15, 2027. The setting for this installment is between "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" and "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM". "ZERO" will depict the story between these two, and it has been revealed that the "Freedom Gundam's abduction incident" will be the central focus. I'll watch Gundam no matter what because I love it unconditionally, but I'm feeling a bit anxious about them depicting the events leading up to SEED FREEDOM. There will be Mobile Suit battles and dialogue battles, right? I really hope they don't just go for a quiet human drama focused solely on solving the incident (lol)

The protagonist Elma, reincarnated and manifesting a defense-specialized 'Heavy Knight' class, is deemed a 'flawed class' due to low attack power and difficulty leveling up, leading to his disownment from his noble family. However, Elma realizes the world is identical to the VR game he played extensively in his previous life and knows that the Heavy Knight can become the strongest depending on how it's trained. Instead of just overpowering enemies with brute force, the story depicts the process of piecing together stat allocation and skill synergies (build crafting) like a puzzle, such as 'which skills to prioritize acquiring' and 'which monsters to hunt for efficiency.' The development, where he overturns common sense with knowledge of game exploits and optimal strategies, is incredibly exhilarating. The animation is handled by 'GoHands,' known for the 'K' series. The unique color palette and dynamic camera work, with characters moving intensely, create a visually compelling depiction of skill activations and fierce battles against monsters. It's a 2-cour series, and this fall marks its second cour. Excessive flashbacks and padding are also characteristic. It doesn't progress as fast as One Piece or Dragon Ball (lol).

The anime is shaping up nicely. I read the entire original manga before watching the anime and cried so much I surprised myself (though honestly, the ending was a bit anticlimactic (but I guess that was part of what made it good)) I often can't get into anime after reading the source material, so I'm a bit nervous, but I wonder how it'll turn out? Since the art is beautiful, I want to stick with it without dropping it. There are a bunch of other things too, but for now, I've started on Kusuriya no Hitorigoto, Hotaru no Yomeiri, and Bai Yao Pu. I'm too scared to watch Rayearth because my old image and memories of it are too strong. I've got to explore more...

"Magical★Explorer: Reborn as a Friend Character in an Eroge, but I'll Live Freely Using My Game Knowledge" The reincarnation destination is Kosuke Takeo, a friend character in the eroge who is "unpopular, weak, and a stepping stone" in the main story. However, he had a hidden setting: "his magical power is astronomically high." The protagonist fully utilizes this setting and his "game knowledge" from his previous life to gain strength that rivals the true protagonist and dominate. It's not just about getting cheat abilities and dominating; the process of gritty, dedicated self-training is one of its charms. The title includes "eroge," but Kosuke is a nobody, so he's not popular (lol). However, absurd and forceful events unique to eroge, such as "convenient lucky perverted situations" and "dungeons filled with idiotic erotic traps," continuously occur, and they are turned into hilarious gags. On the other hand, serious dungeon攻略 and thrilling battle scenes to protect the heroines are also properly depicted. The stark contrast between this "laid-back chaos" and "serious royal fantasy" is what makes this anime interesting.

The title includes "Hokkaido," but after being transported to another world, it has no real connection, only a slight mention of Hokkaido here and there (lol). The content isn't about the usual isekai cheat abilities or magic; the protagonist's weapon is a real-world hunting rifle (no machine guns... yet). What's really unique is how the story utilizes real hunter knowledge, like 'changing the type of gun and ammo (shotgun shells, rifle rounds, etc.) based on the size and characteristics of the prey (monsters)' and 'tracking prey by their footprints.' Even readers with no knowledge of firearms can easily understand the explanations, making it easy to get into the setting.

"The Dwarf in Your Castle" At the beginning of the story, the protagonist is in a dire situation, on the brink of starvation in a corner of the castle. However, upon awakening memories of her past life (as a Japanese office worker, Chihiro Sagami), she resolves, "I won't die!" and bravely heads to the kitchen to demand, "I need food! I'll work!". Her small figure, wearing an apron and scurrying around the kitchen to survive (nicknamed "The Dwarf-san"), is incredibly endearing and healing just to read about. This work is a masterful blend of "heartwarming isekai gourmet," "a beloved story where a hardworking protagonist is rewarded," and "an intriguing fantasy setting." It's highly recommended when you want to be healed by cute characters or read a heartwarming success story!

【Manga (Reading completion varies)】 Masatoshi Morita "Rokudenashi Blues" Hirohiko Araki "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" *I like 345 Hideaki Anno "Neon Genesis Evangelion" (Both manga and anime) Takehiko Inoue "SLAM DUNK" Kenji Hamaoka "Urayasu Tekkin Kazoku" series Shuichi Shigeno "Initial D" Tatsuki Fujimoto "Chainsaw Man" (Anime too!)
