The app often gets hot, becomes sluggish, and stops working. As a countermeasure, I always cool it down with room-temperature ice packs while playing.

I used to cool it down like that too, but apparently it's bad for the battery. They say ice packs get too cold and are no good. I saw on TV that it's best to cool it with airflow, like from a fan or a handheld fan. Take care of your smartphone.
