Ads even when not

That must have been tough. Ads suddenly appearing during peaceful farm management is quite lacking in elegance.

Doesn't it appear when you raise the bait rank? I was surprised at first. On the other hand, when receiving investments, there are no ads 🤔

It seems to happen on some devices when you launch the app. Other conditions for ads to appear, besides common bonuses, include sending a friend request again to someone you've already sent one to on the same day, or when you open the app after sending it to the background (perhaps to prevent viewing other apps simultaneously via split-screen?) as a penalty. However, even if an ad appears, you can skip it by returning to your phone's home screen and then opening the app from its home icon. If you do this during a gold or silver bonus, you won't receive the bonus either.
