What are the 'Illegal Avatars' that are Prohibited?
There don't seem to be many hardcore VRC users here, so basic VRC content might surprisingly be in demand. This time, we'll talk about illegal avatars. First, VRC has more foreign users than Japanese users. If you enter a public instance of a world not intended for Japanese users, you'll likely encounter foreigners. (â» There are also many foreigners who like Japanese culture. If you become friends with foreigners who can speak a little Japanese, you might improve your language skills without studying abroad. However, just like in reality, there are strange people, so be careful.) Due to the culture overseas where copyright is more lenient, it's surprisingly common to find avatars of copyrighted characters or paid avatars that are not sample avatars uploaded without permission as public avatars. Wearing them itself is not good. However, there are a few exceptions. For example, 'Hatsune Miku' avatars are okay if they comply with both the character usage agreement and the secondary creator's usage agreement. In fact, there are several free avatars distributed by secondary creators on BOOTH. Also, regarding Tda-style Miku, famous in MMD, the person in charge of inquiries for the author Tda stated in a blog post that it is permitted (you can read it by following the URL). That's all for the main topic! See you again another day. â» Corrected a typo.

AuthorThe reason I re-posted is because I forgot to paste the URL link I intended to share. (SorryâŠ) Even though it's a VRC environment with strict limitations on smartphones, I felt it was right to speak up early about what's not allowed, given how many different forms you can take. I'm someone who enjoys VRC almost exclusively through avatars, so I tend to write about avatars a lot, but the same applies to worlds. Be careful, as unauthorized ripping from commercial games is surprisingly commonâŠ
