What is a Particle Live?
In VRC, a wide variety of events are held daily by various official and individual organizers across different genres. This time, we'll talk about the term 'Particle Live,' which you might occasionally hear. First, 'particles' refer to small lights or specks. In visual works, it's a technique used to express things like fire, smoke, rain, snow, or magic. You can think of it similarly to 'effects.' A meticulously crafted visual performance using particles, where movement and light patterns are set to music, sound effects, or words... this is colloquially called a 'Particle Live.' By the way, the people who create them are called 'Particleivers.' The most significant感動 (emotion/impression) comes from viewing it in PCVR, but if it's the same video, you can also watch it on a PC desktop. Currently, there are still very few worlds where Particle Live can be viewed on Quest standalone or any environment including smartphones, but they do exist. I'll post a link to a very famous world, considered a leader in Particle Live worlds, so I hope you can get at least a vague idea of what a Particle Live is... That's all for the main topic! See you again another day.

AuthorSince I'm on the topic, I'll add a little more. Some VRC particle creators also produce live show effects using particles for music creators who hold live concerts within VRC. Furthermore, while the one introduced this time is a world-type live, there's also an avatar-type where effects are embedded in your modified avatar. It's definitely a super heavy avatar, so it's likely only displayable on PCVR or a gaming-performance desktop PC... Additionally, major official events sometimes have effects prepared for Quest-only users, which can be viewed on Android smartphones. Sanrio, famous for Kitty-chan, always prepares events that support all environments. ※Gugenka's Hatsune Miku Night Sky Program live, posted a few days ago, also supports all environments.
