Like 3-Point VR Without VR?! Camera Tracking!
Actually, in VRChat, there's a way to move your avatar as if you had 3-point VR, even without VR. This post is about that. ※This post is PC-centric. For smartphone users, please refer to the additional notes in the comments. First, let's check if you can use this method. 1. Does the monitor you play VRChat on have a camera? 2. When you launch VRChat, is that camera not being used by another application? If you clear these two points, you're good to go! Now, for the specific method. ※I've written the steps in rainbow order on the image, so please follow that order. 1. Specify the camera. Image 🔴 2. Adjust the tracking quality to match your environment. Image 🟠 ※Reference for my play environment → Image 🟡 3. Turn this ON if you want to move your hands as well as your head, eyes, and mouth. Image 🟢 4. Let's turn ON Camera Tracking. Image 🔵 ※The screen will freeze. Once the screen starts moving, close the menu, move your head, or try opening and closing your hands in front of you. (5). If your facial expressions break when you blink or change expressions, turning this ON (Image 🟣) can prevent it. It worked on a gaming laptop/a laptop without gaming performance/a smartphone (additional notes below) if the conditions were met, so please give it a try! That's all for the main topic! See you again laterー.

AuthorUpdate around 6 PM on the day of posting: I heard that camera tracking might be usable on smartphones, so I tried it on my Xperia from a few years ago. I've also edited the post above accordingly. After turning off auto-adjustment and setting the quality to performance, then turning on the camera, it responded to head angle (which appears reversed left-right due to smartphone characteristics) and blinks (※I usually keep blink tracking off to prevent facial expression distortion since I often change expressions via the menu). However, the device got quite hot, possibly due to insufficient specs, so it probably won't last long. Smartphone users with capable devices might want to give it a try.
