Man Furious at High School Part-Timer
A couple came to the supermarket around the time side dishes and sashimi were half-off. They were in line at a register near the entrance, holding three shopping baskets full of items. The cashier asked, "We'll try to be as quick as possible, but it might take a little while. Is that okay?" The man responded with a smile, "Ah, yes," and "It's fine." ...However, when another customer went to the register manned by a high school girl, who had no one else in line behind her, the man who had said "It's fine" suddenly lost his temper. He yelled, "I have three baskets! There was no one else there, so you should have called me normally!" making an unreasonable demand. A male employee from the service counter rushed over to the crying high school girl and listened to the man's complaint. The girl looked like she was about to cry, and it was pitiful. Yeah, I'm sorry. I'll apologize first, but is it okay if I punch him? ( ïœ¥á· Ö ïœ¥á· )á¡á µá á¡à¡à ¢à à» âžà»à ¡à £á ߯á à £à á¡à £à á á à ¢à ð¡ From here on, my inner thoughts are spilling out. AuthorMay I say a word to the mother who was with him? 'Who the hell do you think your husband is, making a high school girl cry with his unreasonable rage?' 'Did you forget that you told another staff member, "It's okay"?' If I were in the wife's position, I would have already smacked her when she got furious at the high school girl. I'd be too embarrassed to go to that store.

You know those people who talk down to staff, like 'Is this really something to get so angry about?'... I hope that part-timer can work peacefully from now on ð¥²

I've also encountered an elderly person who unreasonably yelled at a cashier. At that place, only the payment was self-service, and apparently, they didn't know how to use it, so they got angry saying, "Why did you put this here?! I don't know how to use it!" It's something the higher-ups decided, and it wouldn't change even if you told the part-time staff, so it felt unpleasant to watch. If I had been at the same register, I would have complained.

Speaking as someone who used to work as a cashier. Can you even see the number of items in the baskets of people in line at other registers? Once you get used to it, you might be able to say things like, 'Next customer, please come here~'... but if another customer comes over on their own, they should obviously be prioritized. Some people prefer to wait in line for a specific register. For someone around high school age, it should be obvious they're a minor, so it's understandable if they don't pay that much attention. Honestly, someone yelling when you've already said it's okay to take your time â are they an entitled old person or losing their mind?
