It's been a while since I quit Brawl Stars. Claw is Ronin... and what is this... evolved El Primo throwing a spear... I spent about 50,000 won (around $40) on it... It feels like a waste to quit, but it seems better for my mental health to quit... What do you guys think?

Have you ever poured all your units into attacking the opponent's tower, only to have no cards left to defend when they counter-attack? It's an experience everyone who plays Clash Royale has had at least once. This is actually the most common pattern that beginners repeat. The key concept here is 'elixir advantage'. If you spent 8 elixir on an attack and barely scratched the opponent's tower, and they defended with a 4-elixir card, you've essentially lost 4 elixir. Conversely, if they send a 5-elixir unit and you defend with a 3-elixir one, you can immediately counter-attack with the remaining 2 elixir. The more successfully you defend with less elixir, the more opportunities you naturally create for offense. So, there are two important things in actual gameplay: First, don't just stare blankly when your elixir bar is full. Doing nothing when your elixir is full is the same as wasting resources. Second, don't spend all your elixir on offense. If you use it all at once, you'll be easily broken through on the counter-attack, so it's good to always keep about 3-5 elixir in hand for defense. That's all!

I reached Arena 1 with Goblins last season, but I think I'll try to reach Arena 2 with Barbarian Barrel this season.

If you want to improve your Clash Royale skills, try to remember these 3 things. It will be helpful if you feel like your skills aren't improving even after playing for a long time! 1. Never let your elixir fill up completely. If you let the elixir bar stay full, you're losing out in that moment. Always use it as it flows, but don't spend it all on offense; make it a habit to save about 3-5 for defense. Whoever uses elixir more efficiently than you will win. 2. Defense first, counter-attack second. Beginners tend to rush on offense and use up all their elixir on defense, or conversely, use too much trying to defend. If you wait until enemy units enter your territory and then counter-attack with your tower, you can defend with minimal cost and even aim for a counter-attack with the surviving units. Remember that Claws is a 'turn-based game'! 3. When your opponent plays a big card, that's your chance. When your opponent uses a high-cost card, their elixir will be depleted right after. If you quickly push into the opposite lane at this time, it becomes difficult for your opponent to defend properly. Try to roughly count your opponent's elixir situation!
