Weekends are the best, aren't they? ^^
When I wake up in the morning and see Saturday on my clock, I just pass out again. ^-^ It's a secret that I wake up again to find it's already lunchtime. Anyway, weekends are great, but an unexpected problem arises: the three meals a day. ^^ Usually, I solve one meal with delivery and then match the leftovers for the next meal. That's my usual route (?). If I get the urge to try cooking something, I'll gladly take on the challenge, but my success rate is terrible. ^-^ But I still feel good about it. The process of deciding on the target dish, requires analytical skills to assess available ingredients. A contemplation of whether it's even possible. Generally, objectivity completely crumbles at this point. A bone-grinding reflection on the outcome. I start to question if the food is even edible. The self-affirmation of 'I'll get better with practice' has long since vanished without a trace. Even with the massive explosion of cleanup duty, I happily look forward to the next attempt because it's fun. How great would it be if our board felt like the weekend? Always something to look forward to. ^^

Slept in because it's the weekend and made a mess of the kitchen. I can totally picture you laughing about it, knowing full well you're gonna get buried in cleanup. But hey, at least you're eating dinner properly before tackling the mess, right?

Just the act of cooking itself is amazing. People who aren't interested don't even go near the kitchen. It shows you're serious about food haha. I also like making various things, though my menu isn't extensive.
