A May 1st Song on October 31st
I already posted a song for the end of October, and suddenly this song came to mind. The title, 'First of May,' signifies not only the date but also the first love or puppy love of a young age. It fits well in autumn, and since the lyrics mention a Christmas tree, it's also sung in winter. The lyrics are poetic. The Bee Gees are a legendary group. While they spearheaded the disco craze in the late '70s, they had many lyrical ballads in their early days. This song is an insert song from the movie 'Melody,' but the Bee Gees have so many great songs. ๐When I was small, the Christmas tree was taller than me. While other kids were playing, we were in love. Don't ask me, that time passed us by without us knowing. Someone was approaching from afar. Rest of the lyrics in the comments ๐

AuthorNow we grow up and look down on the Christmas tree. You don't talk about those days. But you and I, our love will never be forgotten. When the first day of May comes, I think we will cry! The apple tree that grew beside you and me Watching the apples fall one by one Then I recall all the past moments The day I kissed your cheek, the day you left..

Reading the last paragraph, I haven't lived a long life yet, but I can definitely feel myself getting older...

This song feels like "Forbidden Games" that I saw at the French ๐ซ๐ท Cultural Center next to Gyeongbok Palace when I was young. Christmas ๐ is still over a month away, but I'm glad I can already feel the Christmas ๐ spirit. Merry early Christmas ๐ ๐

Is it just me, or is the link not opening? Is my phone acting up? I tried opening other posts just in case, and the links work fine, but this specific post is prompting me to log in.

I'll leave the song to you, can't open the link, but here's the post first. lol This song made me realize how wide Bizzy's musical range is. I thought he only used unique vocalizations like in 'Night Fever', but then I was amazed again by how he could also deliver a simple, clean song like this.
