A manga that shocked me when I heard it featured an old lady, without even knowing the plot. Turns out, it's true. From the first chapter, a lot of crude gags are thrown around, so I bet many people probably dropped it because they couldn't handle the crude humor. The protagonist, Ayase Momo, was a high school girl who believed ghosts existed. She makes a bet with Takakura Ken, who believes in aliens, to prove the existence of what each of them believes in. Thus, Momo enters an abandoned building where aliens are rumored to appear, and is captured by the Serpoian. The Serpoians are a species composed only of males, and they try to have relations with Momo, a female, for reproduction. Meanwhile, Ken enters an abandoned tunnel where ghosts are rumored to appear and meets Turbo Grandma, and after breaking the rule of 'don't run away,' his bananas and testicles are taken away. Momo was about to be taken by the Serpoian, but suddenly uses her psychic powers to escape from them. This manga could have been more popular if it weren't for the crude gags. It's quite polarizing, more than you might expect.

"Bad Boys On The Run" is a hot-blooded school comedy about the legendary delinquent duo, 'Oni-Baku's' Eikichi Onizuka and Ryuji Danma. After conquering the Shonan region, they decide to quit their violent lives and pursue romance, transferring to a new school. They dream of an ordinary, sweet school life and peaceful relationships, but their notorious reputation attracts constant challenges from delinquents from other schools and powerful biker gangs. This leads them into unexpected, fierce battles, creating a hilarious and intense coming-of-age story.

In the title, The Way of the Househusband, Gokudō (極道) is a term yakuza use when they package themselves as chivalrous men, and by inserting 'househusband' between 'goku' and 'dō', it's used to mean a yakuza who walks the path of a househusband, or the path to the extreme of being a househusband. The protagonist, Tatsu, was reformed by his wife, Miku, and changed his profession from former yakuza to a full-time househusband. Although his intimidating appearance often leads to misunderstandings, he is currently just one of the kind, full-time househusbands. He shows immense 'gap moe' due to the contrast between his scary appearance and his actions, and he absolutely adores his wife, Miku. It's a hilarious comedy. Tatsu is incredibly cute, and Miku is incredibly lovely. He became a househusband for Miku, who can't do any housework, and thankfully, it seems to suit him, as he shows amazing skills. Occasionally, he shows glimpses of his former yakuza days, but he is still an ordinary househusband. If you want to see an 'ojisan' (middle-aged man) with 'gap moe', I recommend it.

The protagonist, Chiken Sana, is a huge sucker for good looks. In middle school, she accidentally discovered Ugo Kanato on social media. Despite his slightly off-focus photos, he was incredibly handsome, which led her to enroll in the same high school as him. However, even though they clearly enrolled in the same high school, Sana never manages to find Ugo Kanato. One day, Sana meets someone on social media who is completely clueless about using it – a total tech novice. She then proceeds to teach him everything she knows. The next day, for some reason, Sana finds herself standing in front of her shoe locker, only to come face-to-face with Ugo Kanato. She realizes he's the same tech novice she met yesterday. Kanato had been feeling overwhelmed by his looks and had been frequently absent from school. The principal, however, offers him a deal: he can avoid expulsion if he posts photos on the school's account to promote it. Kanato, being the tech novice he is, teams up with Sana, the expert, and they work together to achieve their goal of 100,000 followers. Conclusion: You can like someone just for their looks.

This is the legendary manga [Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai], serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1989 to 1996. It was created based on the world of the popular RPG game 'Dragon Quest' and became a massive hit, selling over 50 million copies. The protagonist, Dai, grew up on the remote island of Delmurin with monsters. He meets the hero Avan and becomes his disciple. One day, Avan is defeated by Hadlar, the general commander of the Demon King's army. Dai and another disciple, Pop, then leave the island together and head to the continent, leading to the events that unfold. It's considered a textbook example of a 'shonen' manga, perfectly portraying the classic themes of effort, friendship, and victory. Its precise power balance and well-developed characters received high praise.

A masterpiece of school manga depicting the unconventional story of Onizuka, a legendary delinquent from a biker gang, who becomes a middle school teacher. He heals the hearts of wounded students and resolves their problems with his rough methods that break the mold and his sincere actions. Amidst exhilarating humor and bold direction, the work delivers both cheerful laughter and warm emotion.

It concluded with Volume 22 in paperback. The ebook version is also scheduled to conclude soon, so if you want to catch up, now's the time. In this universe, everything is settled through duels. Even if you're bad at fighting or not very smart, you can become the strongest in the world if you're good at dueling. It's truly a terrifying world. The coolest card isn't Exodia... but perhaps the one-turn kill with the Egyptian God Slime? That's an overdose of romance. If you're new to Yu-Gi-Oh!, you might wonder, wasn't this a card game? It was originally created to showcase various board games. Then it moved on to the card duel episodes, which became so popular that only the duel episodes continued to be serialized. If you buy the first edition of the physical book, you get cool tarot cards. I've collected them all, so now I just need to learn tarot (?). By the way, these were released as first edition bonuses, so they are no longer available except for the latest volumes. In Japan, they sell those tarot cards separately, so if you really want them, you can go to Japan and buy them.

At first, I thought it was a story imitating 'Isekai Bōken Meshi' with a ridiculous skill. There are many similar settings, but there's a fundamental difference. The protagonist, Ivy, is just too cute. The manga was localized first, and later the light novel was. The light novel has been released up to volume 5, but the Japanese version is up to volume 15, so I hope they release them quickly while it's popular. Protagonist Ivy is an Earthling reincarnated into another world, and she was born with at least some memories of her life on Earth. In the world she was born into, people's skills are appraised when they reach a certain age, and their future path is determined by that skill and its rank (which depends on the number of stars). Soon, she gets her skills appraised. She only had one skill, 'Tame,' and even that skill had no stars. More stars mean a higher skill rank, allowing one to use better skills. Considered useless, she was abandoned by her parents and began her journey in the other world at a young age. Personally, Sora, who plays the Sui role, is super cute ㅠ

This is the 2015 fantasy manga [That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime], which became a mega-hit based on the 2014 light novel of the same name. Satoru Mikami, an ordinary office worker, is stabbed to death by an assailant while walking with his junior colleagues and is reincarnated as a slime in another world. Using the skills Predator and Great Sage, which he gained upon reincarnation, he rapidly grows stronger, befriends Veldora the Storm Dragon, and experiences various events, which form the main plot. The work initially caught attention with its novel concept of being reincarnated as a slime, the weakest monster, at the time. It cleverly absorbed and twisted the clichés of early reincarnation stories, instantly captivating readers. The 'Tensura' series has achieved significant success, with cumulative sales exceeding 56 million copies as of 2025. Domestically, I believe up to volume 30 of the manga has been released.

Korekishi Yujin, a first-year high school student, doesn't believe in ghosts and has no psychic abilities, making him a model student. However, on his way to high school enrollment, he meets Shikikuno Mogari, who exorcises ghosts by eating them. This encounter sets Yujin's school life on a path far different from what he expected. The series is still ongoing, with 7 volumes currently published. Honestly, I dropped it without even finishing the first volume, so I don't have much to say about my impressions, but I brought it here because it's popular and I wanted to recommend it. Although I didn't read much, I think it's a work where the characters' traits are well-realized. Also, it might be a bit polarizing, so I recommend checking it out on KakaoPage or Series before buying the books. I recommend this to those who like distinct character traits or school-life stories.
