ArcheAge Chronicle Gameplay

ArcheAge Chronicle, an MMORPG that supports PC and PS cross-play... Why not just make an open-world adventure or RPG? MMOs on console...? Do they not know why Crimson Desert pivoted from MMO to single-player so abruptly? It's incomprehensible why they think console players would appreciate the many elements sacrificed to make it an MMO... I'll try it if it comes out as a free-to-play game, but I'm not so sure... Even just watching the gameplay videos, it looks like another generic Unreal Engine 5 game? Are they seriously planning to sell it at a package price, then sell a battle pass, and implement a dirty monetization structure? It feels like it's going to fail like New World...
