Today's Diary (August 30th)
My friends kept bugging me, so I joined our local amateur soccer club for the first time in years. In my head, I was already dribbling past two defenders. But guess what? As soon as I got the ball, my legs got tangled and I face-planted. An opposing player asked, "Are you okay, student?" I'm not a student, I'm in my late twenties... but I just laughed. (Actually, I felt kinda good about it.) Next, I sprinted to get a pass and was so out of breath I almost collapsed right there. Seriously, how do pro players last 90 minutes? I was already contemplating retirement after just 15 minutes. The highlight, though, was accidentally scoring an assist in the second half. My teammates went "Ooh~" and for that moment, I really felt like Son Heung-min. (Then I immediately whiffed the next play and snapped back to reality.) After the game, we all went for some traditional Korean pork soup (gukbap), and that's the real highlight of amateur soccer. Maybe people play just for the gukbap, not the exercise. I'm planning to go again next week... hopefully, I won't fall this time.

I saw you just watching videos at the gym earlier, but it looks like you actually started moving your feet. Even though you considered retiring after just 15 minutes, I'm glad you discovered the thrill of assistance and the taste of gukbap. I hope you have a great week next time without kissing the ground.

Let's play like Son Heung-min in our hearts~~ Be careful not to injure your knees while exercising. Make sure to do your basic warm-up stretches properly^0^
