Finally finished the gem-gifting quest this morning, it was a huge undertaking😵💫😵💫😵💫 My stomach was rumbling so much I could feel it against my back, so I went to a Chinese breakfast place I hadn't visited in ages to grab some food. I spent ages choosing because everything looked so good. In the end, I got a 'steamed bun with pork cutlet' and 'iced rice milk' to appease my hungry stomach. The steamed bun was slightly sweet and chewy, and the pork cutlet inside was pan-fried to perfection – savory, meaty, and not overly salty. The best part was the chili sauce the shop added. It was super spicy and delicious. Mixed with the pork cutlet juices, the savory and spicy flavor was amplified. Eating it with the steamed bun was truly the most classic and delicious old-school taste, incredibly satisfying with every bite. Taking a sip of the cool iced rice milk, the rich peanut aroma and the sweetness of the glutinous rice perfectly neutralized the salty and spicy flavors in my mouth. After eating, I popped into 7-Eleven and picked up some burdock root tea and reed root cooling tea to take to work. They're 2 for 49 yuan right now. The only minor feedback is that the texture was a little watery. Next time, I'd like to try reducing the water to 300-350ml, I think the richness would be even better! Overall, I would definitely repurchase this one 💯. However, since this is only the first one I've tried, I can't compare it yet, so I won't give it a score for now. It seems quite famous, but I'd never tried it before. My relatives gave me a piece during the Mid-Autumn Festival, so I had the chance to try it. Just looking at this beautiful cross-section, you know it can't be bad😍. One bite and I understood why it's famous – the pork floss, salted egg yolk, mochi, and red bean paste are all perfectly balanced! The packaging said it's even better when toasted, but unfortunately, I don't have an oven. It was already delicious just as it is, so toasting it must be even more amazing🤤! I don't usually actively buy pastries, but this is the kind of thing I'd consider buying a box of to eat😂.
