Chapter Sixteen: Heavenly Thunder Descends As the alarm blared on the computer screen, the entire building began to shake violently. The previously locked electronic systems were instantly paralyzed, and thunder rumbled from the black mist that obscured the sky. At that moment, the atmosphere between heaven and earth became extremely oppressive. Old Liu knelt on the ground, his body beginning to turn to ash like burning paper, starting from his limbs. "Why... the High Priest of the Dark Web clearly said... that completing the Four Thunders would make one invincible..." he screamed in unwilling agony. Zhang Yu panted on the floor, looking at him coldly, "You thought you were using evil arts? You're nothing but a physical sacrifice in the Dark Web's algorithm!" "BOOM——!" A massive white lightning bolt, as thick as a tree trunk, pierced straight through the building's roof and struck directly into the office on the fifteenth floor! The entire server and Old Liu were instantly engulfed by tens of thousands of volts of high-voltage electric arc. In the absolute light and heat, Old Liu, along with the blood-red thunder talisman, was burned to ashes. The enormous shockwave sent Zhang Yu flying, slamming him heavily against the wall, knocking him unconscious. After an unknown amount of time, Zhang Yu groggily opened his eyes. Fire truck sirens echoed outside the building. The building's steel lock system had been disengaged, and sunlight streamed through the shattered windows. The evil spell was broken, and he had survived. Zhang Yu struggled to his feet, preparing to leave this nightmarish place. However, as he passed by Old Liu's now charred computer components, the phone in his pocket suddenly vibrated.

Chapter Fifteen: Desperate Counterattack The ancient coin, stained with blood, emitted a dazzling crimson glow. With his last ounce of fierce determination, Zhang Yu violently swung his arm upwards, forcefully thrusting the burning ancient coin into Old Liu's knee! "Ah——!" Old Liu let out a non-human scream, and black blood gushed from the wound. The evil power attached to him paused briefly. Seizing this critical moment, Zhang Yu scrambled towards the computer host, using both hands and feet. "Stop! How dare you touch my talisman core!" Old Liu roared madly, twisting his body as he lunged, his charred fingers viciously gripping Zhang Yu's neck. The intense suffocation and high heat made Zhang Yu's vision blur. Old Liu's strength was astonishing, his fingernails already digging into Zhang Yu's flesh. With his last breath, Zhang Yu grabbed a pair of iron scissors from the desk and smashed them without hesitation into the glass bottle inside the computer case! "Crack!" The glass bottle shattered, and black blood splattered all over the floor. The charred infant spirit let out a painful scream in the air, then quickly dissipated into a wisp of black smoke. "No——! My Five Thunders Evil Method!" Old Liu wailed in despair, loosening his grip on Zhang Yu's neck. However, the building's alarm did not stop; instead, it turned a glaring blood-red. On the computer screen, a line of stark black text appeared: [Life Talisman Core Destroyed, Ultimate Program Triggered: Fifth Thunder · Heavenly Thunder. Retribution initiated.] To be continued in the next chapter……

Chapter Fourteen: The Fourth Thunder: Earth Thunder The scorched infant spirit in the glass bottle seemed to sense Zhang Yu's gaze and suddenly opened its eyes, letting out a piercing cry. The moment the cry sounded, Zhang Yu felt as if his brain had been struck by a heavy hammer, and he collapsed heavily to the ground. An intense sense of dizziness washed over him, and his mind began to rapidly crumble. 【Earth Thunder Activated: Identity Erased, Foundation Uprooted.】 Countless illusions appeared before Zhang Yu's eyes. He saw his memories being stripped away bit by bit—he forgot his name, forgot his parents' faces, and even forgot why he was here. His skin began to crack and peel like dry earth, and his sense of existence was being completely erased from this world. "Hahahaha! Become the nourishment for my promotion and wealth!" Old Liu laughed wildly and stood up. He walked step by step towards Zhang Yu, who lay limply on the ground, and raised his scorched, stiffened large foot, preparing to crush Zhang Yu's head. Zhang Yu's eyes began to turn hollow, and his fingers dug deep into the carpet. "I... I am Zhang Yu..." Just as Old Liu's foot was about to descend, the ancient coin in Zhang Yu's pocket suddenly emitted a scorching heat, burning his skin and instantly clearing the last shred of his reason! Zhang Yu bit his tongue sharply, spraying a mouthful of vital blood onto the ancient coin in his hand! To be continued…

Chapter Thirteen: The Location of the Talisman Core Zhang Yu was greatly alarmed and instinctively blocked the incoming attack with the cinnabar ancient coin in his hand. The coin emitted a faint golden light, instantly incinerating the black worms that lunged at him. Without daring to delay, Zhang Yu endured the thin air and intense heat, finally rushing back to the office on the fifteenth floor. The office was a mess, and the strange aroma in the air had become suffocatingly strong. In front of the computer plastered with a blood-red thunder talisman, Old Liu sat with his back to the door. His body had already swollen by a circle, and his skin was covered in black patterns resembling electric shocks. "You've finally arrived, Zhang Yu." Old Liu didn't turn his head, but his voice echoed in Zhang Yu's ears. "Once I sacrifice you, my 'Earth Thunder' will be perfected, and I will obtain supreme power and wealth!" "You've gone mad! You've killed so many people, you didn't even spare your own child!" Zhang Yu roared, his eyes quickly scanning the office for the 'natal talisman core' the Taoist priest had mentioned. Old Liu slowly turned his head. His face had completely rotted away, leaving only a dark, hollow skull, with two balls of crimson flame burning in the eye sockets. "Child? That was his contribution to his father!" Old Liu cackled, pointing at the computer screen. "See? The talisman core is right here, can you get it?" Zhang Yu looked closely and saw that the computer's chassis had been opened. Instead of heart-like components, there was a blackened infant spirit sealed in a glass bottle, immersed in black blood! Netizen Look for a payphone. Netizen Call your family to pick you up. Hasumi There are no payphones. I already called home and asked them to pick me up. But they don't seem to know where this is either. I'm checking now. Netizen Is it really called "Kisaragi Station"? Hasumi Yes. Netizen What about the other passengers? Hasumi No one got off. So it's just me right now. The station doesn't say the name of the previous or next station either. Hasumi There's really nothing around here. Just grasslands and mountains. But if I follow the tracks, I should be able to get back to where I came from, right? I've started walking along the tracks. Netizen Wait, don't walk along the tracks. It's safer to stay at the station. Netizen It's dark along the tracks at this hour, and didn't you pass through a tunnel earlier? Netizen Your phone is the only thing that can contact the outside world right now. Be mindful of the battery. Hasumi Yeah. I'll be careful. Around 01:30 Hasumi My dad called just now. He checked many places but still doesn't know where I am. He told me to call 110 to report it. I'm trying to call now. Hasumi I explained the current situation to the police. But they seem to think I'm playing a prank. I got scolded. I got scared and ended up apologizing to them. Hasumi For a while now, I think I've been hearing a drumming sound from a distance. Mixed with sounds like bells. Honestly, I don't know what to do anymore.

Testing out posting on PC version 😆 ----- Netizen Why don't you go to the front or back car first and see if there's a conductor? Hasumi Or, since there's no sign of stopping, I'll go take a look. 2004/01/09 00:00 Hasumi The driver's window is covered, so I can't see the conductor or driver. This line is a private railway in Shizuoka Prefecture. Hasumi I tried knocking on the window, but there was no response. Hasumi We just passed through a tunnel. But the line I usually take shouldn't have any tunnels. I came from Shin-Hamamatsu. Hasumi It seems to be slowing down. Looks like it's going to stop at a station. 00:25 Hasumi We've stopped at a place called "Kisaragi Station" (きさらぎ駅). I've never heard of it or seen this station before. Should I get off? Netizen Don't get off. Netizen Go and see. Hasumi Well... I got off. This is an unmanned station. I think the train I was on was around 23:40. Netizen "Kisaragi Station"? I can't find this station. Netizen I can't find it either. Hasumi I'm looking for the timetable. The train is still stopped. Would it be safer to get back on that train? ...It left while I was typing. Netizen What's around the station? Hasumi I'll go outside the station. See if there are any taxis. Hasumi Forget taxis. There's nothing here. What should I do?

Chapter Twelve: Shan Lei's Despair The lights in the building went out completely, leaving only the red emergency exit signs flickering faintly in the darkness. Zhang Yu felt the air gradually thinning, each breath feeling like inhaling burning coals. Clutching the ancient coin, he sprinted towards Old Liu's office on the fifteenth floor via the emergency stairs. The entire building was terrifyingly silent, with all office doors shut tight. Peeking through the glass windows, Zhang Yu saw his colleagues who were working overtime curled up under their desks. Their hands were bloody and mangled from frantically scratching the walls, their deaths identical to the 'Shan Lei' described on the dark web—suffocated by lack of oxygen and extreme heat. "Help... help me..." A weak cry for help came from the end of the corridor. Zhang Yu stopped and saw Xiao Jie lying on the ground, reaching out to him with difficulty. Her skin had already turned a horrifying purplish-red due to oxygen deprivation. "Xiao Jie!" Zhang Yu rushed over to help her up. However, the moment Zhang Yu touched Xiao Jie's wrist, her face contorted violently, her mouth splitting open to her ears, emitting Old Liu's piercing laughter: "Hahahaha! Zhang Yu, you've been tricked!" Xiao Jie's body instantly transformed into countless black, wriggling worms, swarming towards Zhang Yu... To be continued...

Chapter Eleven: The Blockaded Building As soon as the blind Taoist finished speaking, his entire body collapsed onto the ground like a dried corpse that had been drained of all moisture, motionless. The copper jar shattered with a 'pop,' and the water inside turned into black ash. Zhang Yu clenched the ancient coin in his hand, his heart filled with terror. He looked up at the company building in the distance. The entire thirty-story skyscraper was now enveloped in a thick layer of black mist, appearing like a giant black tombstone in the night. To survive, Zhang Yu had no choice but to steel himself and return to the building. The building's entrance was already cordoned off by the police, but strangely, all the officers stood frozen like stone statues, their eyes staring blankly into the building, completely unresponsive to Zhang Yu's approach. Zhang Yu reached out and pushed one of the policemen; the officer's body crumbled like dirt, turning into a pile of black ash! Zhang Yu suppressed the urge to vomit and stepped over the ashes, pushing open the building's glass door. "Click." The moment he stepped inside, the glass door behind him instantly transformed into thick reinforced concrete, completely sealing off the only exit. The building's automated system let out a piercing alarm: 【WARNING: Internal structural integrity locked. Ventilation system shut down. Oxygen supply will be interrupted in thirty minutes.】 Mountain Thunder activated, physical lockdown! This building has become an inescapable tomb of reinforced concrete.

Chapter Ten: The Fortune Teller Under the Overpass The rain poured onto Zhang Yu like thick ink, corroding his skin. The pointing fingers of passersby and the flashes of phone cameras drove him to the brink of madness. Zhang Yu could only scurry like a rat caught crossing the street, hiding in the dark corner beneath the overpass. "Kid, you've been struck by the Heart Thunder and Water Thunder of the Five Thunders Evil Technique, and you're still alive to run out here?" A hoarse voice came from the darkness. Zhang Yu suddenly looked up and saw a fortune-telling old man, dressed in a tattered Taoist robe and missing an eye, sitting on a low stool with a battered, scarred copper pot in front of him. Zhang Yu crawled towards him as if grabbing a life-saving straw. "Please... save me! My colleague practiced an evil technique from the dark web!" The one-eyed Taoist sneered and placed his hand on Zhang Yu's forehead. A warm current instantly surged into him, and the foul-smelling rainwater on Zhang Yu's body evaporated into black smoke. "What dark web? That's just someone repackaging the ancient 'Five Thunders Evil Technique' with modern internet jargon," the one-eyed Taoist said with a grave expression. "The Five Thunders are Heart, Water, Mountain, Earth, and Heaven. Old Liu sacrificed flesh and blood to activate the Heart Thunder and kill the general manager, and then used data to harm you with the Water Thunder. But every evil technique has a backlash. Old Liu is no longer human; he's just a puppet of the Thunder Demon." The Taoist took out an ancient coin stained with cinnabar from the copper pot and handed it to Zhang Yu. "If you want to live, you must return to the company at midnight tonight, find Old Liu's 'Natal Talisman Core,' and destroy it. Otherwise, when the third thunder, 'Mountain Thunder,' strikes, everyone in the building will die!" As Zhang Yu took the ancient coin and was about to ask more, the fortune-telling Taoist's face suddenly changed drastically, and he spat out a mouthful of black blood.
