#2026-04-19 #Terminal3Cafe Terminal 3 is the name of the cafe, a place I used to take my wife to watch planes. It's a place where you can drink coffee and have light meals while watching planes land. Little Amber sometimes points to planes in the sky and says: "Whoosh~~~~!" This time, I specially took Little Amber back to the same place. I wanted Little Amber to see how big the planes flying in the sky actually are. Usually, planes are so high up they look tiny.

We've been renovating and closed for the past few weeks. If you're planning to visit, please follow our official Facebook page. The reopening date is currently uncertain. The park isn't large but it's very clean. Adult tickets are NT$250, and child tickets (ages 6-12) are NT$150. Your ticket can be exchanged for hay, and adult tickets get a NT$100 discount on park merchandise or food. There are dwarf goats (my daughter's skirt got nibbled by a dwarf goat!), capybaras, alpacas, sika deer, black-nosed sheep, giant tortoises, and meerkats (the feed given to the meerkats seems a bit less compared to other parks). Overall, it's a nice place to visit along with Shiding Old Street, but I wouldn't recommend going here alone!

Today, I went for a walk with my family at Wangyou Valley in Badouzi, Keelung. The weather was sunny but also very hot. However, the scenery was beautiful, the seawater was crystal clear, and occasional cool breezes made it refreshing. Wangyou Valley truly lives up to its name~ The loop around the trail is about 500 meters, mostly stairs, so it's quite easy. We parked our car at the Liushiwu Highland parking lot and walked from the summit, around to near the fishing harbor, and back to the parking lot. On the way back, we encountered a few cute cats. The tabby cat in the picture had a super cute and 'meowy' voice 😍 The little orange cat was lazily napping on the stairs, a true orange cat indeed🤣 The Liushiwu Highland parking lot charges by the entry, 100 NTD/entry. Near the fishing harbor, there are many places for free parking. We later parked near the Daping Coast close to the fishing harbor. We got out and went to the seaside to play in the water. The coastal ecosystem is rich, and you can see many people looking for marine life. You can also sit under the shade of the rocks on the shore for a picnic and watch the sea. We even spotted an osprey hunting~ The last two pictures are of the sunset and moon taken at a random fishing harbor on the way home. Very fitting for the Mid-Autumn Festival🎑🌕 Sharing this with everyone. If you're interested, consider planning a day trip when you have the chance~ Additional note: Although the Daping Coast is generally easy to walk along, many rocks are covered in moss. It's recommended to wear reef shoes or non-slip footwear to avoid slipping and getting injured. Also, pay attention to the tide times to avoid getting trapped offshore when the tide rises~

#2026-09-26 #TaiwanGloveMuseum Took Little Amber to the museum. There were lots of interactive games and board games to play. Little Amber's favorite part was digging for little stones inside.

The park is quite large with slopes, so as you get older, you really need the tour bus! I accidentally even took a picture of an alpaca pooping. The bird world felt like going back to the Jurassic period, and Osmanthus Lane was full of butterflies. There are many types of animals, but you can't touch or feed them. The plants are a bit disappointing, many are no longer represented accurately by the pictures and descriptions. You really can't see it all in one day! The king oyster mushrooms immediately cut out power as soon as I got on the bus!

Turns out there were two Fenqihu Old Streets. I went to the one further from the station and the road was so steep, I almost couldn't make it back. Came to see two old steam trains, had some Alishan black tea ice cream, and also ate Fenqihu bento and donuts.

A very beautiful B&B in Yilan. This time I stayed in the Peppa Pig Princess Castle room. The exterior itself is gorgeous. There are plenty of toys for children to play with on the first floor and in the room. I noticed that the toys were wiped clean one by one after checkout. Also, if you want to go whale watching (Dongfang Mingzhu), you can buy tickets from the B&B owner for a cheaper price! Compared to the last stay at Fengqing Yazhu, Candy B&B has an elevator, a dartboard, a Lego area, and a large ball pit. The price was NT$4100. Fengqing Yazhu has a sandpit for playing in the sand, a large garden, and a play area, but no elevator, and the price was NT$3200. Just for your reference.

May 04, 2026 Matsunoyu Tamatsukuri Onsen Hotel → Sakaiminato Fish Market → Sakaiminato Gegege's Hometown → Yonago Kitaro Airport → Taoyuan International Airport → Warm Home The Sakaiminato fish market was very clean, but the smell was strong. I've eaten so much king crab and sashimi for days, I really didn't want to spend my own money to eat more. I don't know if the king crab was like that originally or if it wasn't fresh and smelled fishy. Sakaiminato Gegege's Hometown, when I first met my wife and was dating, we went to see a Gegege no Kitaro exhibition together. After getting married, the three of us went to Gegege no Kitaro's hometown. There were so many souvenirs to buy, my wife even bought strawberry cream puffs! As a tour leader, I said it was okay verbally, but in my heart, I must have rolled my eyes many times. Little Amber wore a hairband and a skirt for 4 days, and they asked if Little Amber was a girl or a boy. Can I roll my eyes back?

This time I stayed in the princess castle room. The room was perfect for a little princess! There was a slide and a ball pit. The kids loved the secret base under the stairs. The B&B owner was thoughtful and had the air conditioning turned on before we arrived. There's a children's play area on the first floor. The breakfast was delicious. Outdoors, you can play in the sand, swing on the swings, ride scooters and electric cars. They also give you a bag of feed to feed the fish.

May 03, 2026 Shinsaibashi Grand Hotel → Takeda Castle Ruins (Castle in the Sky) → Izushi Soba → Izushi Castle Town → Tottori Sand Dunes → Matsunoyu Tamatsukuri Onsen Hotel Successfully climbed a castle. Little Amber was super cooperative. The wind was so strong on the castle ruins, I almost got blown away. Takeda Castle only has the foundation left, no keep, but the view looking down was still beautiful. Izushi Castle Town was where we had lunch today. Due to time constraints, we didn't go up to Izushi Castle itself, just walked around the town below. Bought some senbei to eat back at the hotel. It was raining heavily at the Tottori Sand Dunes, but my baby insisted on going up. Honestly, it was quite spectacular. It really felt like arriving in a desert. At the gift shop, I bought a sand sculpture Daddy Eyeball and some souvenirs for my family. Also tried the sand egg and sand pudding, which were very unique.
