Today is my roughly once-a-month hair spa day~ Naturally thick and curly hair, I could see it was about to go back to its explosive state 🤣 I was thinking if I should get a perm or a full color, but after discussing with my stylist, we decided on a perm next time and a full color the time after that. So today, I just got a root touch-up for gray hair + a treatment. $1500 + $1200, gotta last another month 💪

9/13 Today I saw someone refer to 'Capoo' (咖波) as 'Kabu'. I asked out of curiosity what translation that was, and they said they just typed it randomly (?). That's fine, but it's strange when someone knows Capoo is a Taiwanese IP and the creator is Taiwanese, yet later adopts the English pronunciation 'Capoo'. I find people who insist on 'going by the English pronunciation instead of the Taiwanese one' really peculiar, and their examples are bizarre too. Of course, I replied politely. I'm not saying learning foreign languages is bad, but we should remember our own language sometimes.

Today, Mom and I each rode a motorcycle, taking our cat Fanta and puppy Lulu to the vet. Fanta got her annual vaccination, and Lulu had a follow-up appointment. Since we had an appointment, they were called into the examination room together, which was quite convenient 😆 While waiting, other dogs were barking, but Lulu was quiet. She's only brave at home, I guess (?) Later, when a cat started meowing, Fanta couldn't help but join the chorus 🤣 But she calmed down when I held her. Much calmer than before! Overall, it went pretty smoothly! 🎉

Our little puppy is still in the crate, but the vaccines should be effective soon, and they'll finally be able to roam freely on the ground! The pet playpen I ordered has also arrived 😁 To make space for the playpen, after our evening walk, we got home around 8:30 PM and started measuring, moving shelves and the fridge, and cleaning the floor with my mom. We didn't finish until 10:30 PM 🤣 The playpen isn't assembled yet, but at least the space is cleared! I have to wake up at 6 AM tomorrow to get ready for work, so I'm calling it a night 😴

Before heading to work today, I decided to redeem the first round of 'Sweat for Rewards'. I chose a 50 yuan voucher + a 5 yuan bonus. I initially planned to use the 55 yuan limit to buy a drink I wouldn't normally get, but after looking around... I still only wanted black tea 🤣 In the end, I bought a black tea for 35 yuan after the eco-cup discount + two tea eggs for 13 yuan, totaling 61 yuan. I only paid 6 yuan myself. And so, today I had a rare hearty (?) breakfast for just 6 yuan! 😆

Today was my first field work assignment at my new unit. I rode for about half an hour on unfamiliar mountain roads into the city. I visited a few places. For the bank, a colleague reminded me I could get a queue number online via my phone beforehand, which saved a lot of waiting time 😁 Everything went smoothly, and since I had plenty of time left, I also completed another field task before riding back home for another half hour. What was supposed to be an ordinary workday unexpectedly felt like unlocking a new map! 😆
