Want to cry listening to the sound of the waves

Because of my job as a nurse, I can't visit my mother at her home often to keep her company. However, on my days off, I always video call my mom to chat. But during our call just now, my mom started crying towards the end, which made me cry along with her. It seems my nieces made Grandma angry and sad again. Honestly, I know I should stop my tears, but I can't help it. Ever since my dad passed away over a year ago, we all know none of us have truly moved on from the grief. But we don't dare to show it easily in front of Mom, fearing she'd get even sadder. But today, hearing from Mom's own mouth that since Dad left, she's spent countless nights accompanied by tears, I really couldn't deceive myself any longer. So, mother and daughter cried together across the phone screen. Honestly, we all know Mom's suffering. I just hope my nieces can be more sensible and cause Grandma less heartache. Sigh... Sigh...
