Chatting about the anime "Tomb King" 🐦⬛🏺

Adapted from the Korean web novel and webtoon of the same name, the anime adaptation is set to air in July 2026 with a total of 12 episodes. Following the Japanese anime's naming convention, the male protagonist is named Ryoga Goriki (translated as Xu Zhouxuan in the manga). The story follows Ryoga, who makes a living as a tomb raider, gets betrayed and faces death. With the help of a mysterious crow artifact, he is reborn 15 years in the past and decides to use his past life's knowledge to get revenge. The artifact system in this series is really interesting! It blends history, mythology, and legends from around the world, making me feel like I'm learning something new while watching😆 Ryoga's approach of using his past life's information to get ahead and his ruthless attitude towards enemies are also satisfying, with plenty of humorous moments interspersed. I'm also quite curious about the mystery surrounding the crow. The setting where this mysterious power that resurrects the protagonist continues to be involved in the plot even after the story begins is quite unique. Overall, I found it very enjoyable, and the interactions between the male and female leads are quite cute. Although the final battle left me with a lot of questions🤣, the display of some abilities and the combat process were difficult for me to understand, and I wasn't even sure how the victory was decided in the end. (I later found out that the anime apparently added a lot of extra combat演出～ ⚠️ Spoilers for the original work's subsequent romantic developments below⚠️ The interactions between Irene and Ryoga in the anime were actually quite cute, especially the scene where Irene's desires go out of control due to the artifact's side effects and she desperately tries to get close to Ryoga – it was very sweet😆 I was drawn to it and wanted to follow the manga, but upon checking, I learned that the original novel has a multiple marriage development later on, and the manga also involves romantic lines with other women, which is a major turn-off for me, so I had to reluctantly give up👋
