Taoyuan Follow-up
At the same time, we must also consider fiscal sustainability. Caring for the elderly is not a one or two-year policy, but a lifelong commitment. Every penny of the budget should be spent on areas that truly improve lives and promote health; every benefit must balance policy objectives with fiscal burdens; ensuring that today's elders benefit with peace of mind, and that future elders continue to receive the same care. City government's benefits for the elderly are not just the Senior Citizen Card. Upon taking office, I immediately increased the holiday and Chongyang Festival gift money for seniors. Every elder in Taoyuan can receive four times a year, 2,500 NTD each time, totaling 10,000 NTD. This senior gift money is entirely for the elders' free use, providing the most direct support for their lives. 10,000 NTD in senior gift money annually takes care of daily living; the Senior Citizen Card takes care of health and mobility. The two policies complement each other, making Taoyuan the city with the most comprehensive elder care in Taiwan. Of course, existing services such as buses, Taoyuan Metro, YouBike, and sports venues continue to be provided, allowing elders to enjoy more diverse and convenient lifestyle choices. Caring for the elderly is an important part of urban development and a manifestation of a city's civilization. In the future, we will continue to improve elderly care services, striking the best balance between caring for citizens, promoting health, and fiscal sustainability, so that every elder can live a healthy and happy life, and Taoyuan can become a city truly suitable for all generations to live together.

As the ancients said, 'Take from the people, use for the people.' Your emphasis on fiscal sustainability is indeed key; without a stable source of funds, promises are hard to keep long-term. Balancing welfare and burdens is the most responsible way to protect future generations!
