Kaohsiung | 🍚White Rice Killer Appears! Craving Thai Food Without Breaking the Bank! Kaohsiung's Local Hundred-Dollar Thai Cuisi
🌶️Today, let's have some Thai food that's sour, spicy, and fragrant all at once. 🍛Pad Krapow, Green Curry, Tom Yum Noodles – they all make you drool~ ✅Here's a little ordering tip, you don't need to order a whole table full~ You can satisfy your cravings for around a hundred dollars. If you like bold flavors, save this post! Don't worry if you can't handle spice~ The spiciness can be adjusted! Don't you sometimes just crave some intense flavors? 🤤 Compared to light meals, I sometimes miss the rich spices and appetizing sour and spicy flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine. Today, I'm introducing a budget-friendly Thai restaurant in Nanzi - "Ajiao Thai Cuisine" 🇹🇭 The restaurant offers a variety of Thai dishes~ Classic Pad Krapow Pork, Coconut Milk Rice, Stir-fried Noodles... and even Thai hot pot. ㊙️Here's a little ordering secret~ To eat affordably and be full, order the "Thai exquisite noodles/rice" from the green box on the left~ These are small individual set meals, but the portions are enough for a guy to feel full; if you're a really big eater~ you can also add rice for an extra $20! Recommended Dishes 🍛Pad Krapow Mixed Rice $130 - The aromatic, sour, and spicy Pad Krapow series is a white rice killer! If you love Pad Krapow but have decision paralysis, order this! It has 🐽minced pork, 🦐shrimp, and 🦀crab meat~ I love mixing it all together~ every bite is filled with rice coated in sour, spicy, fresh, and fragrant flavors! 🥬Thai Gai Lan Beef Rice $140 - Crisp Gai Lan with tender beef and savory sauce intertwined~ The Gai Lan stems are crisp with a slight sweetness and a hint of bitterness. It stays vibrantly green even after being stir-fried over high heat. The beef's flavor is enhanced after searing! 🍚Do you have to eat Thai food with white rice? Or do you prefer rice noodles or stir-fried noodles?

Ah~ (waiting to be fed) They have stir-fried century egg with basil! I ate at a Thai restaurant near Zhongli Station that was specifically for migrant workers, and everyone there was Indonesian?! There was a mountain of fried tilapia, maybe nearly a hundred, piled up in the store. The way to eat it was to grab one fish and choose side dishes, and they'd give you a special chili-garlic-peanut sauce that seemed to have lemongrass, and a hard-boiled egg... The person who took me said not to eat the fish, claiming they caught and sold them from nearby ditches? I felt unwell at the time and didn't want to eat anything spicy at all. Almost everything on the menu had chili. Among the few choices, I picked the stir-fried century egg with basil. Originally, they were supposed to scoop a few spoonfuls from a pre-prepared pot of something like century egg and minced pork stir-fry and pour it over rice and dishes, then drizzle with the special chili sauce? So, I skipped that step and ate it, and was absolutely amazed. It smelled like a train station restroom that had just been cleaned 🤢 As soon as it hit my mouth, the aroma of the century egg and minced pork mixed and rushed in. As I chewed, the unique fragrance of fish sauce and Thai basil spread from the oil. As I swallowed, the train station restroom smell returned, making me rush for the next bite. From a third-person perspective, it was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it 🤔 As for the fried fish, it was fried rock hard, and the fish meat had a slight earthy taste. It wasn't worthy of being a restaurant's signature dish at all, but once the sauce was added, it was a different story. It had the characteristic 'smells bad but tastes good' base of fish sauce, with intermittent bursts of lemongrass and unknown spices. The sourness of the lemon, the saltiness of the fish sauce, the fragrance of the spices – the sour, salty, and fragrant flavors completely masked the earthy taste, making it incredibly good with rice. Even though I picked out the chilies, they'd sting occasionally; the softened peanuts and the hard peanuts, the fried exterior of the fish and its tender flesh, offered a variety of textures. I'd crown it the pinnacle of ditch fish?

It's a real rice killer, tastes even better with Thai fragrant rice. I don't usually eat much rice, but my high school friend sold Thai bento boxes. Every time I bought Pad Krapow or Green Curry from him, I'd end up too full.
