Today's Endgame, Classic Hindsight (Beginner Friendly)

1. Horse 3 advances to 4, threatening checkmate. There's a central horse on the 5th file. The advisor cannot capture the horse, and the general can only move right. 2. Cannon 5 moves to 4, checkmate. A classic 'horse-behind-cannon' mate. In a 'horse-behind-cannon' mate, the horse acts as a shield for the cannon. The horse itself controls the squares to the general's left and right, leaving no escape.
