[Deconstructing the 'San Bao'] Why do some drivers and riders act beyond common sense on the road?
Hello~! Welcome to~~ "Deconstructing Human Behavior: Philosophy & Psychology"! This is the first post (but I'm not trying to start a fight! Rational discussion, rational discussion), let's talk about the mysterious creatures we encounter on the road every day - the 'Road San Bao' (idiot drivers). No turn signals, sudden stops, driving the wrong way, what are they actually thinking? Let's break it down: Psychological Perspective: Dunning-Kruger Effect People with lower competence tend to be overconfident. These 'San Bao' genuinely believe their driving skills are perfect and that everyone else is at fault, so they feel no guilt whatsoever. Philosophical Perspective: Extreme Solipsism In their philosophical universe, the world revolves around them. They think, 'If I want to turn, the road will automatically make way for me,' lacking an objective awareness of others. 💡 Special interesting psychological research addition: Actually, psychological studies have shown that men's performance in 'overconfidence bias' and the 'Dunning-Kruger effect' is statistically much more significant than women's! This might explain why there are more male 'San Bao' on the road 🤣

Quite interesting 😆 But personally, I think it also depends on the reactions of the people involved after an accident actually happens. If they immediately blame others, it fits the analysis in the post; but some people might just zone out for a moment, not notice something, and then later realize, 'Ah crap, I wasn't paying attention' (It's really easy to zone out when driving out of routine 🤣). It feels like even for the same 'bad driver' behavior, the underlying psychological reasons might differ~

Most of the three-wheeled vehicles are driven by elderly people, and there are also unlicensed drivers, it's dizzying.

I've noticed that when people are waiting at a red light on their cars or motorcycles, there's often space to pull up a bit further ahead. However, they deliberately leave enough space for a car or several motorcycles. Some even block the vehicles behind them from moving past to use the empty spots ahead. It's only a wait of a few dozen seconds, and it might not cause a huge inconvenience to others, but I'm really curious about the mindset of these people. (This isn't about parking in the shade.)
