Snoopy: Loves writing novels and letting his imagination run wild

One of the most amusing things about Snoopy is that he doesn't think he's a dog, and his behavior certainly reflects that. He loves to fantasize and write novels, often starting with "It was a dark and stormy night……". His favorite pastime is lying on the red roof of his doghouse and letting his imagination soar. What he loves most is piloting his Sopwith Camel, a British fighter plane from World War I. The reason for the name Camel is a raised protective cover on the cockpit that resembles a camel's hump, and Schulz found the name amusing, so he had Snoopy fly this fighter. In reality, this fighter was very difficult to control, which signifies Snoopy's status as an ace pilot!
