Midnight Diner ~ Steakhouse (Under Maintenance)
Volume 38 (Putting Yourself in Someone Else's Shoes - Part 1) Recap: Stairs. Cutlery station... Cleaning, done before closing as usual! Just as the front and back of house were getting ready to start. Me: How about we swap? I'll do your job, you do mine! ??? : Would the boss agree to that? Me: I can just talk to the boss about it! What should I call you? ??? : Alright! My name is Xiao Jie! Before we started cleaning, the boss told us: He and I are fine, find one person each to help! After that, I started cleaning... Me: You guys just need to prepare the dishes and serve them! Just do your usual work! I'll handle the cleaning alone! They seemed skeptical! That I could finish it alone! I had no intention of arguing further! Time would prove everything! Both sides started cleaning at 19:00. I finished cleaning at 21:2X. Xiao Jie, who swapped with me, did 3 cleaning tasks! He didn't do anything else, even though he found someone to help during that time. Upon hearing that I had finished, Xiao Jie still didn't believe it. He specifically came in to inspect every item I had just cleaned! He originally wanted to find fault! But after seeing where I had cleaned. He turned around with a dark expression and went to finish the cleaning tasks in the front of house that hadn't been done. By the time Xiao Jie finished everything, it was around 22:30! Seeing that he was done, the boss called us both to the counter! Boss: You said cleaning the front of house was easy! Today you were busy for a large part of it, was the front of house work easy? Xiao Jie: It wasn't easy, it was very busy! Just as he was about to say more... Boss: And you even found someone to help you... To be continued...

You really are something else. Even when you're in trouble, you end up worrying about the other person. I don't know if your self-control is just too good, or if you're just bad at protecting yourself. Leading by example is great, but against those who only talk the talk, you should occasionally show some Regatta-like spirit and put them in their place. Don't always let yourself get pushed around, understand?
