Yilan Attraction Sharing

Today I'm sharing a spot in Yilan that I saw online a while ago and finally visited today: Lanyang Museum of Nature and Wildlife. Almost half of the entire area is indoors, making it one of the few zoos with air conditioning, and it's also very suitable for visiting on a rainy day. The regular adult ticket price is 280 NTD. The park has a diverse range of species, including many birds and fish I've never seen before. The ticket also comes with discounts for food, souvenirs, and plant DIY activities, and you can also get free animal feed and a free paddle boat ride. In the parrot area, I experienced parrots landing on my head, shoulders, and arms for the first time! (My hat suddenly became a parrot's favorite snack? One parrot kept hogging it and gnawing on my hat. When others tried to land, it even pushed them away 😂) The guinea pig and rabbit area was also very cute. It was my first time hearing the super adorable squeaks of guinea pigs! But they are quite shy, so it was hard to pet them much 😄 The cat tea room has time slots for cat cafe or mini pig cafe experiences. Today, there were too many people participating, so I didn't join. The meerkat and falcon meet-and-greet was also super special. You have the chance to interact closely with meerkats or see eagles fly right over your head. The outdoor area has goats, alpacas, capybaras, guinea pigs, kangaroos, emus, etc. They all seemed like super gluttons! They'd come up to you regardless of whether you had food, and only leave if they realized you didn't. Some of them just wanted to be petted. We also happened to see a three-month-old baby capybara and guinea pig, which were incredibly cute 😍 To sum up this experience: it was fun, enjoyable, not too hot, and protected from the rain.
