🐺 Wolves smell something weird and might just roll all over it?
You've probably seen dogs suddenly get super interested in a certain smell, sniff it, and then start rubbing themselves on the ground. Wolves do this too, and the behavior even has a name: scent rolling! When wolves find a scent they're interested in, they might sniff it carefully first, then rub their face, neck, or shoulders against it, and finally, they might even flip over entirely to get the smell onto their fur🐺 And it's not always a 'stinky' smell they're interested in! Researchers have offered wolves various scents like curry, rosemary, lemon, wool, and even other animals' excrement. Some wolves rubbed themselves on curry and rosemary, while in another experiment, wool was what they rolled in the longest. As for why wolves do this, there's no definitive answer yet. Some speculate it might be to mask their own scent, or perhaps to bring an outside scent back to the pack and convey some kind of information. So, if you see a wolf suddenly: 🐺: Sniff sniff. 🐺: Rub rub. 🐺: ……(rolls all over) It might not be acting dumb, but rather performing a mysterious wolf ritual we don't fully understand yet🤣

Tsk...! What boring ritual were you messing with over there just now? I would never do something so stupid. Don't lump me in with those guys. Rather than researching that, bring me more high-quality gems.
