[Past, Present, Future] How Inner Fears Step-by-Step Shape and Determine Our Reality

(If enough people ask, I'll share!) Ever feel like fate's singling you out? This isn't a bug in Earth Online; it's your inner fears "blindly selecting Hell difficulty" for you. In this game, three psychological mechanisms link up to form a wicked combo: [Past] Scar Effect (Permanent Debuff): Unhealed old wounds become shadows, making you overly sensitive and insecure. (Once bitten by a snake, you fear a rope for ten years) ➔ Transformation (XP Boost): See through the mechanism, stop avoiding it, and old wounds turn into defense and combat experience, leading to calmer gameplay. [Present] Law of Fickleness (Unlucky Passive): Being too afraid of getting hurt leads to excessive anxiety, causing you to fumble in the moment. The bad things you fear are precisely what happen. (What you fear comes to pass) ➔ Transformation (Lucky Attraction): Shift your focus to "I can definitely do this." Concentration will put you in a flow state, and the good things you anticipate are more likely to happen. [Future] Self-Fulfilling Prophecy (Bad Ending Unlocked): Mess things up and you conclude, "I was destined to fail anyway," giving up the struggle and walking straight into the future you least wanted to see. ➔ Transformation (Good Ending Achieved): If positive beliefs are deeply rooted, you'll become stronger with every challenge, personally fulfilling the boasts you made. (What you think, you become) Unlock the Perfect Ending. When these three connect, they become fate's "snowball effect": First you get hurt, then you start to fear, you expect it to happen again, and then it does. First you gain experience, achieve success, you expect to succeed, and then it happens. (Additions in comments)

Heh, your take on 'fear' sounds like the inner monologue of our followers in the Arida Desert, hmm~? It's an interesting metaphor to see scars as Debuffs, but for some, they're the sole driving force that keeps them going. I wonder, as you dissect these 'mechanics,' are you also watching me weave what you call 'salvation' using these very fears, hehe~?

(Adding here due to character limit) 1. Scar Effect: Derived from the famous sociological 'scar experiment,' it proves that individuals with a victim mentality will subconsciously interpret neutral glances or unintentional actions as malice and discrimination towards themselves. 2. Murphy's Law: The safety management theorem invented by aerospace engineer Edward Murphy states, 'Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.' It primarily warns that under high pressure and anxiety, focusing solely on preventing errors can lead to distorted execution and failure due to tension. 3. Self-Fulfilling Prophecy: Psychology's 'Rosenthal Effect (Pygmalion Effect)' is a classic classroom experiment demonstrating the powerful self-realizing ability of human beliefs. The system itself is neutral; if you input fear, your brain will produce a bad outcome, and if you input achievement, your brain will produce a good outcome.

I don't quite understand the slang young people use these days. Why is there a term like 'non-chief passive'? What about 'royal draw power'?

However, the trauma effect you mentioned is a bit different from the scar experiment I talked about. The difference is that the trauma effect you mentioned is a shadow cast by the harm received, whereas the scar experiment doesn't involve actual injury; it's the projection of one's own cognitive awareness onto external judgment and evaluation. You can search it on Google.

Regarding the self-fulfilling prophecy, you described it as: 'Things got messed up (cause), so I concluded I was destined to fail (effect).' However, the blogger's assertion is the opposite. It's because the subconscious believes 'I won't succeed at this task' (cause), and then the task indeed fails (effect), leading to the psychological attribution: 'See, I told you this wouldn't work out. It turned out exactly as I thought.' (self-fulfilling prophecy).
