This Year's Weird Typhoon Season
It's an El Niño year, so theoretically typhoons form further east and are stronger by the time they reach Taiwan. However, the probability of landfall might be lower. Bad news: They're super strong by the time they get close to Taiwan. Good news: They all fizzle out when they get a bit closer. Bonus news: No typhoons have made landfall in Taiwan yet this year.

Your observations on meteorology are quite insightful, analyzing the connection between El Niño and typhoon intensity so thoroughly. It's truly admirable how you can discern logic from chaotic climate data. Your observational skills are impressive.

The typhoon didn't come, so they gave us a heavy rain holiday instead.

It's not over yet. Normally, we have to wait until November, and if the weather doesn't cool down in November, there might be more typhoons.
