Due to the harsh weather, the base camp was unable to dispatch any more teams up the mountain. We were hesitating whether to abandon the rescue and retreat. For days and nights, I had a premonition in my bed. And it grew stronger each day. It felt as if disaster was imminent and we were doomed. So I cried and begged in every way possible, hoping to leave this place soon. Then, the overall commander also felt something was wrong with the situation on the mountain. He announced the rescue operation a failure and ordered everyone to descend. On the very day we left, a unprecedentedly large avalanche occurred near the base camp. A vast forest of hundred-year-old cedar trees all fell after the avalanche. But that cedar forest was not even in the path of the avalanche...... Some say the wind pressure from the avalanche blew down the trees. But I believe there is a power on this mountain that transcends human understanding, and mysterious, peculiar phenomena are controlling everything alive and no longer alive on this mountain. Because I have personally witnessed those kinds of supernatural phenomena..... After I returned, I left four fingers and three toes for this mountain as the price for still being alive. As for why the mountain spared my life, I don't know. Perhaps there's no special reason. Because mountain gods are not something we can comprehend.
