Isn't the night market supposed to be for commoners?! Where did 1000 kuai go?!
Last night, I went to the night market in a great mood. The free parking lot really boosted my spirits, but when I settled the accounts today... this old man's heart is bleeding! I casually ordered some sour fish, munched on some sweet potato balls, bought two giant squid, and got a drink - *ding!* A thousand-yuan bill just vanished into thin air! I remember not too long ago, you could go from one end of the night market to the other with a thousand-yuan bill, eating your fill and coming home with a bunch of goodies. Nowadays, night markets are practically 'wallet shredders.' Just buy three to five items, and your spending is on par with mid-to-high-end restaurants. * Old night markets: Under 100 kuai, eat till you burst. * New night markets: 1000 kuai gone, barely full. Looking at my empty wallet, I could only console myself: It's okay, at least I saved on parking fees... (Yeah, right! That doesn't make up for it at all!) * Today's lesson: Free parking is a sweet escape, night market prices are the real assassins!
