Final dive log. A deep-sea submersible went missing 7,000 meters below the Mariana Trench. Months later, a rescue team recovered the wreckage. The cabin was empty, save for a voice recording. The first ten minutes consist only of instrument beeps, then the explorer's voice cuts in: "It's pitch black down here, but the radar shows a massive object, over 5 kilometers in diameter, directly ahead. Wait, it's moving... No, that's not an object. My god, it's an eye. It's opening. It's looking at me. It's thousands of times larger than our sub."
