A Sweet Burden

There's a hunger that says, 'My wife thinks you're working too hard.'... I was working overtime so much for the past half month that I started questioning life itself. Now that the tasks are done, my dear wife felt sorry for me losing weight (though I didn't actually lose any) and initiated the 'Ultimate Nourishment' mode. All sorts of health tonics, stews, and late-night snacks were served in rotation. In less than 7 days... my belly just inflated like a balloon, and I gained 4kg! Who on earth... who told her that 'Summer vacation is the best season for nourishing and health care'?! (Meltdown) Looking at the cruel numbers on the scale, this old man is trembling. To save my last bit of waistline, I've decided to launch the 'Office Worker's Oil-Shedding Grand Battle'! Now, I'm trying to walk a few extra stops after work and quietly jogging laps around the school track at night. (In reality... last Sunday night, you could have seen a middle-aged man jogging alone on the track 😂) * Today's realization: My wife's love is as heavy as a mountain, and it's directly reflected on this old man's scale! * Social death index: 20% (Walking around the track, I deeply feel that the fat on my belly is harder to get rid of than my job) * Soul-searching question: Have any of you had a similar experience of 'going out of control with weight after being constantly fed by elders/partners at home'?
