New Taipei Bus Day Trip to Civic Plaza
Had some family matters to attend to today, so I took the day off from work🥴 Since I had some free time in the morning after dropping my daughter off at school, I decided to take a bus to Civic Plaza. I also wanted to observe the "No Bus Day" on 9/22. Today, buses are free to ride, no fares or card swipes needed. I was curious to see how people would react🤭🤭 As soon as I got on the bus, I could hear the driver shouting, "No fares or card swipes today!" Even though there were signs on the card readers saying no fares were needed, Some people habitually reached for their cards to swipe. There were even people who didn't know about this event. So, at every stop, whenever someone got on, The driver would shout to inform them, just in case people boarding at the back couldn't hear. The drivers worked really hard; their voices sounded quite hoarse. When I got to Banqiao Bus Station, maybe because it's a major hub, There were staff members standing by the bus stop to help inform people. They were promoting the event to those waiting for the bus. Not everyone is aware of the "No Bus Day" event on 9/22. So, all the bus drivers really worked hard!!🙇🙇♀️🙇♂️
