What is this? — A (not-so-scientific) true story that happened on Turtleback Mountain in Frog Village — Chapter 1: The Grand After-School Plan As soon as the dismissal bell rang, the six of us shot out of the school gate like we were launched from a slingshot. It wasn't to avoid after-school classes, nor were we being chased by dogs — it was because Fatty said there was a 'wild berry bigger than a watermelon' growing on Turtleback Mountain behind the village. Xiao Mei rolled her eyes so hard it was almost like you could see the back of her head. "I brought a helmet, survival rope, compass, iodine, bandages, a whistle..." Turtle, as if preparing to move house, took out items from his backpack one by one. "And this, my first mock exam admission ticket, I'll use it as a suicide note." "What are you so scared of! I'm here! If we encounter a wild boar, I'll take it down directly!" Iron Head smacked him on the back of the head. "You ran away when you met a goose last time." I reminded him. "That was a tactical retreat!" Iron Head's face turned red. In short, we set off. (To be continued)
