Taichung Rou Ci Fang Chongde Branch

Rou Ci Fang All-You-Can-Eat Yakiniku, Chongde Branch in Taichung, is a super popular Japanese BBQ buffet restaurant under the Wang Steak Group, featuring 100% whole-cut meats and a high CP value meat feast. The restaurant is located on Wenxin Road Section 4, Beitun District, Taichung City, adjacent to the Wenxin Chongde MRT station, and is very conveniently accessible within a 5-minute walk. Besides the meats and seafood ordered via tablet, the restaurant also has a self-serve bar offering various grilled vegetables, side dishes, drinks (several types of drinks from a common dispenser plus guava plum ice slush and lychee strawberry ice slush), Mexican wraps (though not seen that day, only bread slices), exquisite braised beef rice (Saint Pearl Red Wine Braised Beef), and a sundae ice cream machine (mint and milk flavors) where you can DIY toppings like popping candy. My thoughts: I chose the $798 price point that day. Honestly, the variety on the tablet wasn't that much. Their signature "Ascending Dragon Beef/Pork" could only be ordered once per table, and there were only four dessert options. Additionally, due to the holiday (or perhaps even without one), the crowd was large, leading to slow meat delivery. The wait times varied for different types of meat (the portion size per plate wasn't large), with beef being the fastest (under 10 minutes), followed by chicken (in the teens of minutes), seafood was similar, and pork took the longest (over half an hour). So, I could only watch others feast while waiting 😐, though I did order two plates of chicken in between to fill up. Therefore, my conclusion is that if you eat at this place, you should probably just go for the lowest price tier.
