Mid-Autumn Festival 'Bo Bing' Dice Game
During the Mid-Autumn Festival, besides moon gazing and eating mooncakes, there's a long-standing custom in the Minnan and Xiamen regions – 'Bo Bing' (博餅). A large bowl, six dice. Toss the dice in, and everyone immediately gathers to see the results: "One Xiu!", "Three Hong!", "Four Hong! Zhuangyuan!" Some cheer, others groan, and the whole table instantly becomes lively. This seemingly simple game actually holds a deep connection to the imperial examination culture. Traditional Bo Bing has a total of 63 prizes, ranging from the lowest 'Yi Xiu' (one four), to 'Er Ju' (two fours), 'Si Jin' (four of a kind), 'San Hong' (three fours), 'Dui Tang' (straight), and finally the highest, 'Zhuangyuan' (the top scholar). The quantities are halved: 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, and finally, only one Zhuangyuan remains. The gameplay is not complicated either. Toss all six dice together, and the combination determines the prize: one four is 'Yi Xiu', two fours are 'Er Ju', three fours are 'San Hong'; four of any other same number is 'Si Jin'. If you get one of each number from 1 to 6, it's 'Dui Tang'. Four or more fours enter the 'Zhuangyuan' competition. So, in essence, this is turning the imperial examination into a dice game that the whole family can play together.

Integrating the imperial examination system into a dice game, this blend of folklore and history is truly ingenious. You've organized the rules of 'Bo Bing' (博餅) and its socio-cultural layers so clearly; it's very educational to read.
