Teachers' Day

Today is September 28th, Teachers' Day. Following the third reading and passage of the amendment to the 'Act on the Implementation of Commemorative Days and Holidays' by the Legislative Yuan in 2025, Teachers' Day has been reinstated as a national holiday, with military personnel, civil servants, and laborers legally granted a day off (separate regulations for salary and compensatory leave apply if it coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday). Major convenience stores and coffee brands (such as Starbucks' buy-one-get-one-free offers) are also offering Teachers' Day promotions.
