Parents' Emotions

Regarding my employer, it's actually difficult to judge. It's like having a husband and not having one, living apart (although we video call every day). There are things to adjust to after marriage, like his personality, but didn't you already know you'd be living apart before marriage? If you want to talk about personality, then fine! You got married in less than a year, and you didn't spend much time together when you were dating, but these aren't excuses. You have to take responsibility for your own choices, don't you? So you made yourself sick, and these negative emotions deeply affected the child. (Although you didn't lay a hand or speak harshly to the child, you just endlessly held him and cried in front of the child.) After the emotions pass, you feel guilty and blame yourself. But for the child, the damage has already been done. From my perspective as the nanny aunt, I feel truly heartbroken because you don't realize how scared and panicked a child over 2 years old would be. Although you're actively cooperating with treatment, you then stop taking your medication yourself, which leaves me speechless 😑 I'm not a psychologist, and I can't help you. I just hope you can get through this quickly and stop dwelling on it. This is something you really have to do on your own.

If you really want to help, my advice is: First, 'don't comment on the employer's emotions, state, or life.' You can disagree or not offer comfort, but every bit of dissatisfaction and disdain you show, even just a frown, will put pressure on the sick person. Second, 'appropriately take the child away from that environment.' When the employer's negative emotions are about to explode, you can proactively take the child out to play or read a story, interrupting the cycle of negative emotions and guilt pressure through action. If you have any energy left, help the employer find someone who can receive their emotions, whether it's a professional or just someone who can listen to them vent and collapse, so they don't feel abandoned by the whole world.
