'Post-Apocalyptic Hotel' is an original sci-fi anime released in 2025. The story is set after humanity fled to space due to a peculiar epidemic, leaving behind a robot named Chiyoko to guard the hotel entrusted by her master. Throughout the long years of human absence, Chiyoko diligently maintained the empty hotel day after day, until one day, unexpected visitors began to appear, disrupting the tranquility. What makes this work particularly special is its 'restraint.' As an original anime, it doesn't opt for wild, dramatic plot developments. Instead, it remains clear about its intended message, focusing on Chiyoko's waiting, encounters, and subtle emotional changes. The simple character designs, combined with a rich atmospheric background, give the entire anime a quiet yet engaging quality, earning it praise from some viewers as one of the best anime of 2025. If you enjoy sci-fi with a relaxed pace and genuine emotion, this is worth watching.
