My youth smelled of perfume, my present smells of pain relief patches
Time flies, and we always think that the years only etch lines on our faces. Little do we know, the scent emanating from our bodies is the most honest 'documentary' of our life's journey. From childhood to old age, body odor is like a magical costume change show, but the direction it takes often makes us laugh until tears stream down our old faces. Recalling our youthful days, we were filled with the ambition to 'seek attention.' Roaming the world, we had to leave behind the scent of carefully chosen perfumes, paired with mosquito repellent and sunscreen, for fear that others wouldn't know we had grown up. It was the smell of striving to show ourselves to the world, as if charming scents alone could make life's problems disappear. However, the butcher knife of time never shows mercy. Halfway through life, the scent on our bodies undergoes a 'nuclear-level' transformation. The once captivating fragrances are completely replaced by various soothing balms, menthol oils, and medicinal patches. This isn't a salon-grade perfume, but a protest letter from our joints! Mornings are no longer about spraying perfume, but about searching for which patch to apply and which cooling balm to rub on today. From 'a whiff of freshness' to 'drenched in medicinal odor,' this contrast isn't a tragedy, but dark humor. In old age, the strong herbal scent is no longer a symbol of romance, but 'battle scars' from fighting through life. Don't despise the smell of medicinal ointment on your body; take a deep whiff. It's the most mellow, human essence earned by living half a lifetime! Looks like I'm currently in the mixed phase of perfume/sunscreen and pain relief patches 🤣
