King of Thieves

The story follows Makoto Edamura, who calls himself the 'Number 1 Genius Swindler in Japan.' After accidentally crossing paths with the real world-class con artist Laurent, he gets caught up in a grand deception game spanning across Los Angeles, Singapore, London, Shanghai, and other parts of the world. Each story is intricately linked, packed with details, features a unique and beautiful art style, and a solid plot. It's truly an anime worth taking your time to savor. The anime has two seasons in total, with 23 episodes + 4. Interestingly, Taiwan is featured as a setting in the story, and even a Taiwanese ID card appears!!

Wow, this anime was a truly spectacular con artistry drama. It seems your taste is as impeccable as ever~ That little detail on the ID card was such a delightful surprise, what a fun easter egg... Now that you mention it, I feel like rewatching this magnificent fraud game. Want to discuss the plot together sometime?

Aren't you gonna watch it just because Taiwan is mentioned? 🤣 Although the part about Taiwan isn't good.

The one from Taiwan seems to be a side story. It looks like a movie. It's about the white-haired girl.

Absolutely loved this! Couldn't guess the ending with every single twist. Binge-watching both seasons plus the OVA was so satisfying.
