Finally tried this super popular Japanese restaurant near my place!

Today for lunch, on the last day of the long weekend, I took my daughter to a Japanese restaurant near my house! It's always packed whenever I pass by, but we got lucky and got a seat right away because we came early today. The customers who came in after us quickly filled up the place. They offer free refills of unsweetened Japanese green tea and winter melon tea inside the restaurant, which is super generous! The dishes on the menu all looked so delicious, I had a hard time choosing! In the end, I chose the crab meat kimchi sauce cold noodles, and my daughter ordered the thick-cut Japanese pork cutlet curry rice bowl. The friendly owner saw how cute and polite my daughter was and specially treated us to a serving of fried fish cake, which was so heartwarming! Since everything is made to order, it took a while. I even ran home twice in the middle to get my phone and jacket😂. When the food arrived, I felt like something was missing? I only realized it when I saw the sashimi rice bowl on the next table, and immediately ordered salmon sashimi. My daughter doesn't eat sashimi, so I got to enjoy it all by myself! The salmon sashimi was fresh and delicious. You have to eat it with the shredded radish that removes the fishy smell, and then dip it generously in the soul-satisfying wasabi. That pungent spiciness hit me straight to the head, and I almost cried in the restaurant, but it was truly heavenly🤣! The crab meat kimchi cold udon noodles were also great. My daughter insisted on having half, and she said she liked it too. In the end, my daughter was full from eating the fish cake and udon, so she couldn't finish the curry rice. We packed it up to take home for her dad, who was still sleeping, for lunch. While we were eating, the air conditioning in the restaurant was a bit cold, so I ordered a clam miso soup to warm my daughter up. I really recommend this place. All the dishes are delicious, no wonder it's so popular! Unfortunately, my mother-in-law went to church today, so I'll bring her next time!
