Neither Close Nor Far
Literally, 'to approach.' 'Neither close nor far' describes a relationship that is neither completely proximate nor identical, yet not separate either. #Originates from the 'Great Illumination Sutra of Perfect Enlightenment.' Later, 'neither close nor far' came to refer to relationships between people, events, or things that are neither too close nor too distant. It's also used to describe content that is neither too direct nor too implicit.
