Self-Awareness, Full Horsepower (Part 2)

The owner's manual clearly stated that this luxury sedan had two hundred and sixty horsepower. The chief suddenly realized why he had always felt that this luxury sedan, although high-end, was far from as fast as his old horse-drawn carriage. The problem was here: this luxury sedan should have come with two hundred and sixty horses to pull it, to make this behemoth move quickly. He thought: these white people are dishonest in business, they actually withheld the gifted horses. The chief, who understood a little English, immediately wrote a fiery letter of protest to the car company, demanding that they compensate him for the horses he was entitled to. The Cadillac company received this inexplicable letter. Although they didn't understand what the letter was referring to, they didn't dare to neglect their customers and immediately sent a specialist to investigate. The specialist arrived at the Indian reservation and was even more bewildered when he saw the Cadillac with two horses tied to its bumper. The chief angrily questioned him why he hadn't brought all two hundred and sixty horses at once. After wasting half a day, the car company specialist finally began to grasp the situation and asked the chief, "Where are the keys to this car?" The chief shook his head and replied, "What keys? I've never seen any." The specialist smiled and sighed, untied the horses from the bumper, and asked the chief to sit in the back seat. He took the car's key from the glove compartment, inserted it into the ignition, and turned it gently. The two hundred and sixty horsepower hidden in the engine roared to life with a low rumble from the exhaust pipe. The specialist nodded to the chief, shifted the gear lever, and stomped on the accelerator. The tires screeched loudly. This luxury sedan, powered by two hundred and sixty horses for the first time, sped off at full throttle.
