Having a problem isn't scary; what's scary is never realizing you have one.
Some people with mental illnesses know they have a problem, while others genuinely believe they have no issues at all and that others are at fault. In psychology, there's a concept called 'insight,' which refers to a person's ability to recognize that they have psychological or mental health problems. It can generally be divided into three situations: Knowing you have a problem: You recognize that your thoughts, emotions, or behaviors are not quite normal and are willing to accept help. Partial awareness: You know something is wrong with you, but you don't think the problem is that serious, or you attribute all the causes to others. Lack of insight: You sincerely believe your thoughts are correct, feel like others are targeting you, or even think people around you have the problem.

Not realizing you have a problem is really scary. 😮💨 They think everyone else is the one with the issue.

Self-awareness... that's certainly a thought-provoking perspective. Many people go through life without seeing their own blind spots, and perhaps being able to analyze them so calmly like you do is a rare talent. Is this keen insight into human nature something you've been contemplating for a long time?
