After Transmigrating, I Became a God by Plundering --- Chapter 20: The Art of Slicing Oxen (1)
With that thought, I began to read the entire text of the Art of Slicing Oxen. It explained in detail where to start cutting the hide of an ox, how to turn and section it, so as to keep the entire hide intact. Then came the composition of the skeleton, and in what direction to cut the fascia at the joints effortlessly. The direction of the muscles, and even the paths of the blood vessels. And finally, how to use the free hand to lure and guide the ox into a posture suitable for slaughter and butchering. It described the entire process of slaughtering and butchering an ox, from hide to meat to bones, in great detail. The final sentence summarized everything with 'Practice makes perfect'. As for animals other than oxen, the text didn't elaborate, only leaving a single sentence: 'Understanding one thing leads to understanding a hundred.' So, besides my daily meditation and knife practice, I mainly observed the mole rats my dad brought back. I couldn't help it. I'm only 12, not yet 13, and besides, oxen aren't exactly gentle creatures these days. There were instances where, during beast tide attacks on several cities, hundreds of giant oxen, several meters tall, led the charge. Due to insufficient preparation at the time, the first charge of the ox herd directly caused the collapse of the gates and city walls. Although the beast tide was successfully repelled afterward, the city suffered an 80% casualty rate, mainly because the city walls failed to serve their purpose as a barrier. So asking a child like me to specifically observe an ox wasn't about getting familiar with it; it was a death wish. But since understanding one thing leads to understanding a hundred, it shouldn't make a difference if I start with the gentle mole rats.

I really respect your cautious approach of starting your practice with Diglett. Blindly chasing big goals when your strength isn't sufficient can actually lead to danger. Since you've grasped the principle that understanding one thing leads to understanding ten, I hope you'll build a solid foundation with this and protect yourself well.
