Clap Song (Bunun language Kipahpah Ima) - Original Voice Choir

I first encountered this song through the movie "Hearing the Song" which tells the story of a choir of indigenous children. A very heartwarming and touching movie💖 I was deeply impressed by this song. The melody is cheerful and the lyrics are simple and clear🎧 Even if you don't know the Bunun language, you can easily sing along just by listening to the song🎤 Combined with the pure and natural singing of the children, it's incredibly infectious🥰 There are many moving videos of the Clap Song: 🎬Movie "Seeing Taiwan" - Chi Po-lin (The choir singing on Yushan, Yushan is beautiful) https://youtu.be/QPIQ7imbbG4?si=qjEB6WupFLcF8878 📽️Movie "Hearing the Song" https://youtu.be/lHNekLZWEFs?si=qkK06GpuWyIRN_Sy Personally, I love the live performance version from St. Peter's Basilica in Vienna. The live performance is very captivating, and the resonance of the cathedral is magnificent, which further enhances the vastness of the eight-part harmony. ✨About the Song This piece was popularized by the "Taiwan Children's Choir" (conducted by Principal Ma Peter). In the Bunun language, "Kipahpah" symbolizes the action of clapping, and "Ima" means hand, thus "Clap Song." It was originally composed by Bunun elders and creators, primarily as a joyful song for welcoming guests, gatherings, and exchanges.
