Both Poim and Milpo keep showing the same investment-related video ads, and I was like, 'Seriously...?' 🤔

The advertising industry, in its original sense, thrives when the desire of companies wanting to promote something aligns with consumers' preference for viewing various products. If the common sense in the advertising world is to summarize effectively in a short time, then consumers also want to minimize their viewing time. However, lately, 120-second ads, which had decreased, are reappearing, often in the form of repeatedly playing short videos. While 120 seconds is generally a long time, it's considered short for an advertisement. Packing the information you want to convey into these two minutes is the art of advertising. But the ones who run eight 15-second ads have no such noble intentions. It's not hard to imagine that the advertiser benefits from longer engagement times. On the other hand, the true skill lies in condensing information concisely. If you're forced to watch multiple short videos, you won't develop a positive impression, no matter how good the app is. I hope the advertisers consider this a marketing failure.

I've thought about it from my perspective (though it's a limited view). ① JARO (Japan Advertising Review Organization) is unable to adequately address web ads. Currently, they seem to be overwhelmed with handling TV and radio commercials, leaving little capacity for web ads. Given the sheer volume of web ads, I don't think they can grasp the overall picture. ② The issue with companies handling web ads. Create an ad → Request a coordinating company to distribute it → Distribute through apps, etc. → Revenue is generated for the coordinating company and the app/platform operator → The app/platform operator returns a portion of the revenue to users (e.g., point-based activities). I kind of figured this might be the structure. Therefore, wouldn't the perspective of the distributors be that the quality of the advertisement doesn't matter as long as revenue is generated, regardless of whether it's exaggerated or fraudulent?

And there are ads where if the app is already installed, it launches the app instead of the store. Most games are heavier than the store. I don't know if they're doing it intentionally, if the creator is ignorant, or if they're just malicious, but it's a nuisance.

I don't really have any ads I hate, but if I had to pick one, it's the short ads that repeat multiple times and can't be skipped. I dislike those.

It's an ad pattern I see quite often... This ⏩️ surrounded by an oval isn't actually a skip button, is it... When you tap it, the whole screen reacts and sends you to the store, so I think it's a tap-bait disguised as a skip button 🙄 Apparently, after being sent to the store once, you can cut the video short a bit, but you still have to tap ⏩️ and ✖️ a few more times afterward, which is incredibly annoying 😞 Is it just me, or does it feel a bit greedy wanting to boost views that badly? 😮💨

I can block almost all ads by setting up Private DNS, but that wouldn't count towards my point activities. For example: 'I don't mind short 5-second ads, but Uber Eats or Freecash ads are too long.' 'I absolutely don't want to see ads related to male genitalia (like Atom something).' Is there a function or app that allows blocking specific advertisers or keywords, similar to how you block spam emails?

I don't dislike Tsurube-san, but... Even though it says "⑮", after 15 seconds, 30 seconds, or even a minute, the ✖️ button doesn't appear... I can't go back to the game by using the browser's back function, and I have to go back to the home screen and restart the game, which is super frustrating 🌋 I don't mind watching ads, but at least they should let us return to the game properly once the time is up 😾

Wondering if the close button will appear on the right or left side. It's kind of baffling but also educational to realize there's no real standard in the mobile ad world. I want to cultivate the patience to wait without rushing until it clearly shows up. Self-reminder.

① TEMU ads: Lots of them are lies and take a long time. ② Tik Tok ads: I just don't like them. ③ Pokean ads: I've only ever gotten the super long ones. ④ Mistplay ads: Many are long, contain lies, and are exaggerated advertisements. ⑤ Arrow-type ads: Because they're all scam ads.
